Beyond all dimensions ...




عزمِ سفر سے پہلے بھی اور ختمِ سفر سے آگے بھی
'راہ گزر ہی راہ گزر ہے، راہ گزر سے آگے بھی'
Even prior to setting out on a journey, and even after its completion ...
There is a pathway after pathway, even beyond these passageways
تابِ نظر تو شرط ہے لیکن، حدِّ نظر کیوں حائل ہے
جلوہ فگن تو جلوہ فگن ہے، حدِّ نظر سے آگے بھی
Enduring the vision is a precondition, but why do the sight limitations pose a hindrance ...
While the almighty is enthroned, even beyond the visible dimensions
صبحِ ازل سے شامِ ابد تک، میرے ہی دم سے رونق ہے
اِس منظر سے اُس منظر تک، اُس منظر سے آگے بھی
From the big bang to the end, the universe buzzes with my soul ...
From this act to that scene, and even beyond that moment
وہم و گُماں سے علم و یقیں تک، سیکڑوں نازک موڑ آئے
روئے زمیں سے شمس و قمر تک، شمس و قمر سے آگے بھی
From a disbelief and uncertainty to knowledge and enlightenment, many a fragile paths had to be treaded ...
From the face of this world to sun and moon, and even beyond those suns and moons
دل سے دعا نکلے تو یقیناً بابِ اثر تک پہنچے گی
آہ جو نکلے دل سے تو پہنچے، بابِ اثر سے آگے بھی
A prayer from the heart certainly reaches the doorsteps of acceptance ...
But a sigh from the heart goes even beyond those doorsteps
دیدۂ ترکا اب تو اخگرؔ ایک ہی عالم رہتا ہے
نالۂ شب سے آہِ سحر تک، آہِ سحر سےآگے بھی
Akhgar, my teary eyes now always remain in this condition ...
From the cries of night to the sighs of the dawn, and even beyond those sighs at the daybreak
