INDUCTION OF FRESH ENGINEERS AND QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS



Trainee Engineer / Management Trainee Scheme:

The purpose of this scheme is to recruit, train, and deploy graduate engineers and other professionals who can grow with the company, at site in site execution or at Head office in support associated functions, i.e, Business Development, Quality Health Safety & Environment (QHSE), Project Management Systems, Commercial, Material Management, Asset Management, Finance, & HRD.

A) Selection Criteria:

* Gradate Engineer from Higher Education Commission (Grade A) accredited University.

* 4-year aggregate of above 70% in any discipline, however, however this shall not be the only parameter determining induction of a candidate as Trainee Engineer.

* Exceptional marks in 4 tests conducted by Descon. These tests include General Knowledge, Critical Thinking, Language (English) Proficiency, and Discipline Specific; for example, Civil, Mechanical, HRD, Finance etc.

* Non-engineers with MBA, MPA, or any Masters degree, who have completed 16 years of education from a recognized institution. These trainees will be hired as Management Trainee (Non-Engineer).

B) Training and Career Path:

* Trainee’s title throughout training will be Trainee Engineer / Management Trainee, which, after successful completion of 6 months – 1 year training, will be converted to Assistant Engineer / Assistant Officer as permanent employee of Descon Engineering Limited.

* During first year of Trainee Engineer’s association with Descon Engineering Limited, Management Trainee will be trained on Descon Systems, Methodology, Construction, & Management Techniques. The trainee will be given two month (approximately) class room training followed by a 10-month On-Job-Training consisting of rotation of the incumbent in different functional areas.
