I love this time of the day.....
When the sun chases the darkness away!

It's been ages since I've seen sunlight,
I burn with the heat, filled with delight!

I live in DARKNESS, I hunt by it...
My guide... is the killer of it,
To love, to life, to the way...
Leading to the land where every soul's gay*

I gave you eternal life by killing you!
Now I ask why I did that to you?
If I was bound to forever DARKNESS..
Why I stole your laughter, your happiness!
I could've lived in DARKNESS, your secret admirer
But it was so selfish of me- nothing was prior!

Remember me when I'm gone,
A creature of DARKNESS, who was never born..
as a lustful, fanged sucker of life!
I love Dawn... but can't live in light!

[*gay as in happy gay not a lesbo gay! ]

yeah sure!
actually this poem is about a vampire who's in love with a mortal girl! she doesn' know that he's a vamp.

i will post a line to line explaination of the poem may be tomorrow right now i've got some work to do!

I love this time of the day....
When the sun chases the darkness away!

(the vampire loves the time when Darkness is finally beaten by the sun)

It's been ages since I've seen sunlight,
I burn with the heat, filled with delight!

(vampires live forever n this vampire has lived for 100s of years now. he knows the sunlight will burn him but still the happiness of bieng in the sunlight has overcome the pain n burning )

I live in DARKNESS, I hunt by it...
My guide... is the killer of it,
To love, to life, to the way...
Leading to the land where every soul's gay*
( the vampire's admitting that he cant live without darkness, it gives him shelter n it gives him pray but still the human inside him loves the sunlight because it represents hope n happiness, basically the poet tells that every creature needs hope n the vamps dont have any hope left in their lives n they have to live in that life of despair n hopelessness)

(here the vamp tells us about another human emotion ie love . he loved a girl n felt that he cant live without her so he tried to make her a vamp but then he realized how wrong he was to do so. he knew how hard it is to live without any hope in ur life but still he only thought abt himself n made the girl a vampire!)

(the vamp now tells clearly that he has feelings n emotions jus like noral human biengs because he was a human once)

this is basically a confession of the vampire n i think the poet has chose a vampire to explain wht a normal human feels during the times of despeir. we try n grab even the slightest of hope without realizing that it might not be so pleasent for someone else!
